Vessels
- From 1996 to 2000, Seadog’s fleet grew from one vessel to four.
- In 2008, Seadog Cruises purchased the “next generation” vessel, Seadog IV, the fleet’s first jet-propelled vessel providing more maneuverability with the latest technology.
Baltimore Location
- Inner Harbor Finger Pier adjacent to Spirit of Baltimore.
Seadog Vessel Specifications:
- Seadog III, custom-built in Tuckahoe, New Jersey.
- Licensed for 149 passengers and crew; typical seating capacity of 120 passengers.
- 70 feet long, 18 feet wide, 3.5 ft draft, 37 gross tons.
- Powered by CAT 3412 engines rated for 900 HP each.
Environmental Awareness
- Seadog III uses low sulfer diesel and has a four-stroke engine which produces fewer emissions than older vessels.
- Seadog III will be piloted by USCG licensed captains who are trained in navigational safety, pollution awareness and prevention procedures.
- The vessel has a holding tank for restrooms on-board; all waste is transferred to the city sewage system.
